Summary on Standard Employment Contract ID407
Standard Employment Contract ID407 (see attached style in English and Chinese) is the only contract suitable for the employee of maid from abroad and accepted by the Immigration Office of HKSAR. The contract for the employer to employ maid from abroad. This contract is subject to the stipulation of HK Laws, especially the (chapter 57), Immigration rules (Cap 115) as well as < (Cap Compensation>
The contract is consisting of 17 clauses, mainly described the work property, contract time, salary, vacation, related expenses to be borne by the employer, way of termination, medical service and other tights, responsibility and obligations. However, these texts are just of simple description. For detailed explanation, please refer to the Employment Ordinance (Cap 57), the Employment Compensation Ordinance (Cap 282) as well as the Immigration Rules (Cap 115) and the decree of court. The Immigration Office and Labor Department also prepared with a free manual for your reference such as ID969 (Guideline for Employing a Maid from Abroad).
